The thoughts in my mind tonight as I sit and reflect on the day and life is simply to remember and implement a period of down time and self internal reflection in to your routine, this is useful when combined with more formal meditation, my personal fav is tai chi, but it's totally what works best for you. Most have to try a few different ones to find the one they enjoy the most. This reflection time and mediation allows you to reconnect with your time and place. The reflection also allows you to analyse yourself and deduce what could be changed in your actions and mannerisims. This reflection can simply be done by writing out everything you accomplished no matter how small and the events that made you feel happy/sad/angry (any that link to the heart). For me I just use this process the same way I use this blog, it's a means to relax and disconnect with the hectic life of architecture and the design world. They also bring me great joy, partly as it may inspire/inform others. Since I started doing these small things, I've felt I have accomplished more and I have been so much happier. Not sure the psychology, but I feel the impact of it.

Lesson of the day - have down time in the form of medition and self reflection to disconnect.
